Hello!
I am Rolanda, an Independent Hairstylist & I am absolutely in love with creating beautiful hair !
Hair by Rolanda was established in June 2020, just a short while after our hair industry could open after the Lockdown.
I've been behind the chair for over a decade now & what a journey it's been thus far!

BALAYAGES
Balayage allows for a sun-kissed natural looking hair colour, that allows for a softer, less noticeable re-growth.
The main idea being less is more when creating a natural, multi-tonal finish.
The depth of Balayage can vary so much from a handful of babylights around your hairline to a full on, double process all-over transformation that can take a few hours from start to finish.
Though this process takes longer to do in most instances & are more expensive, the results are simply beautiful – and worth the wait in our opinion.
You’ll be left with a multi-tonal Balayage where, compared to regular colour the benefit of this colouring technique means you will be able to leave it longer before you need to pop back into the salon for a touch up.
FULL COLOUR
A Full Head of Colour is where one colour is applied all over the head from roots to tips, using permanent colour to cover grey or demi-permanent to change depth, tone and add shine to your hair.
Whether it’s natural or fashion colour- there are a variety of shades to choose from that will be perfect for you
TRANSFORMATION HILIGHTS
Highlights are a great way of brightening up your hair and lifting your natural base to create lightness and contrast.
Highlights are simply strands of hair that are lighter than your natural hair colour. We also offer Lowlights as a technique which involves darkening strands of hair using colours that are darker or the same depth as your natural colour to help add depth and dimension.
Highlights or Lowlights can be partially or fully applied throughout the hair, from a variety of colours, from bold to natural.
HAIR EXTENSIONS
The perfect solution to get instant longer & beautiful hair without growing for years
A variety of Hair Extension types are available these days like Tape-ins, Handsewn Wefts, Clip-ins, Keratin Bonds and Taped Wefts
Extensions are generaly matched or customized to the clients hair colour and it is not recommended to lighten Hair Extensions at all
GLOBAL BLONDE
This technique is perfect for when you want to make a strong, bold statement.
To achieve the perfect platinum blonde hair needs to be evenly lifted to a pale/very pale yellow colour from roots to ends.
Your stylist will be able to create even, ice blonde finishes or a clean canvas perfect for pastels and opal shades.
Bleach Blonde is a hair lightening colour journey and repeat appointments are advisable in order to reach your desired shade.
It is also a high maintenance colour which needs 6 to 8 weeks maintenance appointments to keep the colour looking on point
OMBRÉ
This look is normally defined by hair that is darker at the Root area & blends into a lighter shade as it reaches the ends. It can be contrasting colours or very subtle/natural looking
To achieve this dark-to-lighter look, a variety of techniques can be used to create the perfect gradual transition
A Rootstretch & Toner with optional Face-framing/contouring can also be used to customize the look for clients preferences.
PRECISION CUTTING
This service is also known as a Hair Cut but the difference is it's attention to detail by creating precision lines. Each style can be customized to fit each client
BRIDAL HAIR
Bridal Hair on your beautiful day. From subtle flowy waves to Full on Formal Upstyles to finish off your beautiful look. We travel to venues in and around Bloemfontein & also do Destination Weddings
BRAZILIAN BLOWDRY SERVICES
This service is know for its remarkable results. It is a very intensive treatment that helps reduce frizz & smooths the hair cuticle for shinier, healthier & silkier hair.
Unlike Relaxers & Straightening Treatments this treatment however does not permanently straighten or alter the hairs texture at all.
The hair may in fact appear straighter due to the fact that the frizziness are eliminated & therefor the hair is smoother
It is recommended to use a good Salon quality product such as a Sulphate Free Shampoo & Conditioner to maintain & prolong the beautiful results
CONSULTATIONS
Consultations are where your journey begin
It is highly recommended for first time clients to book a pre-appointment consultation with me, generally it takes about 10 to 20 minutes
It serves as opportunity to discuss all your hair goals & inspirations , the process & steps to get there, maintenance thereafter and also to answer any questions you might have
